In Memory of Alexander Padien Berdoff
Thank you for your generous donation in support of Ewing Sarcoma Research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK).
Many of the most important breakthroughs in Ewing sarcoma research and treatment have been brought to light at MSK, and none of that progress would have been possible without support from people like you and me. MSK has the largest sarcoma program in the world for the care of children, teens, and young adults. In fact, the disease was discovered at MSK: in 1921 by pathologist James Ewing.
Much of the most promising new research can't even begin without donations from individuals: in most cases, government funds become possible only after our support funds the early work that demonstrates real potential.
Each year in the United States, about 300 to 400 children, adolescents, and young adults are diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma. Thought it is the second most common bone cancer in children, it makes up just 1% of all pediatric cancers.
When the next new breakthrough in Ewing sarcoma research is announced, I want to know that I have been a part of making it happen, and it would mean that much more to me if you would join me in the effort so that I can say that we helped make it happen. Every dollar counts, and I hope you will be as generous as you can.
Thank you!
