Handstand Walk for Kids
HANDSTAND WALK FOR KIDS
A team handstand competition uniting athletes in the fight against pediatric cancers.
Through September and October, gymnastics teams will virtually compete to walk the most miles in a relay on their hands. Athletes fundraise for participation onto a team.
Will you donate to help our team and our athletes reach our fundraising goal? Donate $1 or a gazillion, it all adds up!
PEDIATRIC CANCERS ARE UNDERFUNDED
Even though cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 19 in the U.S all pediatric cancers are considered rare.
Pharmaceutical companies spend minimal dollars researching drugs for children because they lack the ability to reap large profits.
Only 4-5% of the National Cancer Institute's budget is dedicated to researching pediatric cancers.
This leaves the funding of new research and drugs largely up to philanthropic efforts.
100% OF YOUR GIFT SUPPORTS RESEARCH
Every dollar donated goes directly to doctors and researchers. Their work has led to FDA approval of new drugs and other breakthroughs that impact kids and families, not just at MSK Kids but around the world.
