In Memory of Regina "Gina" LoSardo
June 16, 1959 - December 26, 2021
Regina "Gina" Elizabeth LoSardo, nee Kearney, passed peacefully with her family at her bedside on December 26, 2021 at the age of 62. Gina was the beloved wife of William “Bill” LoSardo and mother of Matthew (Alexandra) & Daniel (Avery). She is predeceased by her parents, John & Regina “Jean” (Schoen) Kearney, her brother, David, and her father & mother in-law, Dr. John & Virginia LoSardo. She was a dear sister of John (Elaine), Anne (Kevin), Kathleen (Robert) & Sara (Peter), sister-in-law of John (Connie), Mary Ellen (the late Jack) & Peter (Leslie), and aunt to many nieces & nephews.
Gina was a long-time resident of Garden City, NY. She was born and raised in Bellmore, NY and West Simsbury, CT. She attended Marist College, where she met her husband, Bill. They moved to Kensington Road in Garden City in 1992 and spent 29 joyous years living in town with their family & friends. Gina was a successful financial advisor at Cetera Advisor Networks, where she was a trusted advisor & friend to her many clients. She was a long-time member of Atlantic Beach Club. She enjoyed the outdoors, tennis, cheering on her sons on the sports field, caring for her dogs, and spending quality time with her friends.
Gina was adored by her family & friends and her incredible spirit & charisma will be missed by all. We all cherish the time that we enjoyed with her on Earth, and she will live forever in our hearts.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, January 4th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anne’s Church in Garden City on Wednesday, January 5th at 10am and she will be laid to rest at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Old Westbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gina’s name may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to support breast cancer research. Gina bravely fought breast cancer for 2.5 years under the care & treatment of the medical staff at MSK. We are forever grateful for their support and we would like to honor Gina's life by supporting the amazing work being done by all at MSK to end cancer.
