In Memory of Suzanne Jacobs McKim
Suzanne was diagnosed with a glioblastoma (stage IV) in October of 2021 and right away decided she wanted to pursue treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. As a nurse she knew of MSK's reputation as one of the best cancer center's in the country. Under the wonderful care of Dr. Andrew Lin and his team, she waged a ourageous battle against this deadly disease. Even though she faced tremendous setbacks she never gave up. Dr. Lin was committed to finding every possible treatment and solution to prolong her life and give her quality of time with her family.
In 1980, Suzanne and Arlin's son, Matthew died at the age of 7 of a glioblastoma. Unfortuately 30 years later the prognosis remains just as grim as it did back then. However, Suzanne believed strongly in the research that MSK is doing to find a cure for this terrible disease. It is with that thought in mind that her family requests that donations be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in support of Brain Cancer Research, in loving memory of Suzanne Jacobs McKim.
