Is Open Online registration is now open for Rock & Run on the River! The third annual 5K run/walk and survivorship celebration takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2009. We hope you can join Memorial Sloan-Kettering at this wonderful event for the whole family! more
CANCER SURVIVORSHIP INITIATIVE
Rock & Run supports Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s Cancer Survivorship Initiative. Continued progress against cancer has contributed to a steady rise in the number of cancer survivors -- more than 12 million are living in the U.S. today. The Cancer Survivorship Initiative was launched to meet the needs of this growing population by offering a full range of medical and psychosocial services guided by outstanding clinical research. As the first cancer center in the country to implement such a far-reaching program, Memorial Sloan-Kettering serves as a national model for providing ongoing care to cancer survivors. more

Childhood Cancer Survivors Not Following Recommended Screening Guidelines The majority of young women at an increased risk of breast cancer due to chest radiation treatment for childhood cancer are not following breast cancer screening recommendations, according to a recently released, detailed assessment appearing in the January 28, 2009, issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. more

Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K takes place on Sunday, March 29. We encourage all Chicago-area residents to come out and support our Fred’s Team runners by cheering them on at the race! more
Bank of America Chicago Marathon Registration for the 2009 Bank of America Chicago Marathon is now open. If you’re interested, you must register with Fred’s Team on our Web site first, and also register on the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Web site. The 2009 event will be held on Sunday, October 11.
ING New York City Marathon Run the ING New York City Marathon with Fred’s Team! Registration is a two-part process.
1) Register with Fred’s Team on our Web site 2) Register for the ING NYC Marathon lottery on the New York Road Runners’ Web site. Guaranteed spots for Fred’s Team are given on a first-come, first-served basis to those who do not gain entry through the lottery. Lottery results will post in mid-June.
Boston Marathon The 113th Boston Marathon -- the world’s oldest annual marathon -- takes place on Monday, April 20. Visit our Web site for more information.
