Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Kids Walk is proud to benefit research at MSK

Founded in 1884, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center. For more than a century, Memorial Sloan Kettering doctors, researchers, nurses, and staff have been united by a relentless dedication to one goal: conquering cancer.

In 2014, MSK was named the number one hospital for cancer care in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report. The close collaboration between MSK doctors and researchers is one of its greatest strengths ensuring that drugs and therapies developed in the lab can be moved quickly to patients’ bedsides. These significant contributions to new and better cancer treatments benefit patients at MSK and around the world.

MSK is a world leader in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of children with cancer. We treat more boys and girls diagnosed with cancer than any other institution—including hospitals that only treat children. Progress made here affects treatment at cancer centers and local hospitals worldwide. One hundred percent of the funds raised through Kids Walk for Kids with Cancer support pediatric cancer research at MSK to find more effective and less toxic treatments for children.
