Kids Walk Connecticut

Our History

Kids Walk Connecticut is organized by two sisters from Oxford, CT—Jenna and Cassie. When Jenna was a baby, she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma—a rare and deadly pediatric cancer. Several doctors told her parents that there was no hope—but an experimental therapy only available at MSK saved Jenna's life. In 2011, Jenna and her family participated in Kids Walk NYC as part of a large team from Oxford High School—and the sisters decided it would be a great event to bring home! Now, with the support of numerous Connecticut schools and businesses, they are helping to fund pediatric cancer research efforts with the hope that one day, all kids with cancer will be successfully treated - just like Jenna!

Kids Walk Connecticut takes place each September at Canal Street in Shelton, CT. Please check back in May for additional details!
