The Patient Visual and Literary Arts Program
The Patient Art Show and The Visible Ink Program encourages patients to use their time creatively while in the hospital and to continue to express their creativity once they return home.
The creation and exhibition of visual and literary art is a great outlet for patients to express themselves artistically, both during and after their cancer diagnosis and treatment.
The Patient Art Show
The Patient Art Show is a four-day exhibit held each spring in the Memorial Hospital's West Dining Hall. It is sponsored by The Society's Patient Art Show Committee and the Patient Recreation Department. An evening reception celebrating the opening of the exhibit is hosted by The Society.
Proceeds from the sale of artwork at The Patient Art Show go directly to the artists. In 2014, 53 artists participated in the show, 278 pieces of art were displayed, and 66 were sold.
The 61st Annual Patient Art Show Opening was held on Monday, April 28th, 2014 from 5pm-8pm in the West Dining Room at MSK.

The Visible Ink Reception
The Society of MSK is honored to fund the Visible Ink Reception each Spring. This unique program is founded on the importance of artistic expression during cancer treatment, an important aspect of treating the whole patient, not just their disease.
