Cookbook Events

On Wednesday, November 17th, Cookbook Committee members and friends of The Society celebrated Park Avenue Potluck Celebrations with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at Scully and Scully. The evening featured table settings saluting icons of style designed by members of The Society of MSK, including "Cole Porter" by Chesie Breen, "Babe Paley" by Nicole Limbocker and Hilary Dick, "The Duke and Duchess of Windsor" by Eugenie Niven Goodman and Jamie Niven, "Diana Vreeland'' by Leslie Perkin, and "Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis" by Kathy Thomas. A portion of sales from Scully and Scully went to The Society.

The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering's first cookbook, Park Avenue Potluck, also edited by award-winning author and New York Times food contributor Florence Fabricant, is a collection of more than 100 recipes from Society members and their families and friends. It features over 70 beautiful photographs by Ben Fink, as well as tips for entertaining from some of New York's savviest hostesses.

Park Avenue Potluck gained national attention on NBC’s The Today Show in November 2007 and was heralded for holiday gift-giving by Time magazine, Elle, The Huffington Post, and headButler.com. it was also named one of the "25 Most Noteworthy Cookbooks of 2007" by The New York Times.
