Since 1951, The Society has operated a thrift shop to raise vital funds to fulfill our mission. The Society Boutique continues to be an important part of The Society's fundraising activities. Recently, we rebranded the thrift shop as "The Society Boutique," with the same location and operations. The spacious boutique, located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, features a great selection of donated new and gently used women’s and men’s designer clothing, accessories, jewelry, home goods, furniture, and books.

How to Donate Donations may be dropped off during regular business hours, although there may be circumstances when the shop is unable to accept donations. We offer free and convenient local pick-up service for furniture donations. For specific pick-up guidelines and donation inquiries, please call 212-535-1250. You may also email email@example.com with photos of the items you wish to donate.
We gladly accept the following gently useditems:
Women’s, Men’s, Children’s apparel and shoes
Hard cover books
Furniture in excellent condition (note: sofas at the discretion of the Manager)
Rugs up to 11' X 14'
We are unable to accept the following items:
Furniture made from pressed wood/wood composite/formica
Office furniture such as conference tables, file cabinets, office chairs (exception: antique desks).
Organs or large pianos
Children's car seats, cribs, strollers, furniture, used toys
Soft cover books
Wedding gowns (we recommend the non-profit organization The Bridal Boutique, 212-252-0661)
Medical Equipment/Supplies (such as wheelchairs, wigs, canes, etc)
Free Furniture Pick-Ups
We offer free and convenient pick-up service for furniture donations in Manhattan. For specific pick-up guidelines and donation inquiries, please call 212-535-1250. You may also email firstname.lastname@example.org and include photos of the items you wish to donate.
All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.You will receive an itemized receipt in the mail containing estimates of the prices that we expect to obtain. Alternatively, you or your tax advisors can estimate the value of the donation. In either case, please consult your tax preparer for guidance on setting the tax-deductible amounts.

SPECIAL EVENTS AND POP-UP SHOPS
Special sales events and pop-up shops are an exciting way for The Society Boutique to present fresh merchandise, from the best of vintage and new fashions, accessories, home furnishings, and one of a kind items. When The Society Boutique presents a pop-up shops, our partners feature an outstanding selection of new merchandise and significant discounts off retail.
Past pop-up shops have included collaborations with Madeline Weinrib, Strand Books, Decades, J. McLaughlin, and Park Avenue Garage Sale. A unique philanthropic and educational collaboration was introduced in 2013 when the Fashion Institute of Technology hosted a Pop-Up Shop on their 7th Avenue campus, designed and executed by the FIT students with all proceeds going to support The Society of MSK.
