I could not be more proud to raise money for Cycle for Survival, which not only works to find a cure for rare cancers, but works to build a community of people who have been affected themselves, or have a loved one who has been affected by this horrible disease.
I have incredible passion for raising critical support and awareness for rare cancer research, after losing my 64 year old Father—my hero—to a Glioblastoma brain tumor. He lost his battle 7 months after being diagnosed.
The doctors said there was no cure, only chemo and radiation. They also said there was no better treatment than that, all because there "is no funding for research” because “not enough people are affected with these brain tumors, so funding just doesn't go to looking for a cure". Devastating to hear that your Dad is going to die, and there's nothing anybody can do to help him.
Nobody should have to watch their family or friends die from cancer, today or ever again. And I truly believe we can make a difference. Together we can fund research, provide hope and stay on a relentless pursuit to save people's lives. With your support, some sweat, and a few thousand stationary bikes, we are moving mountains.
