JOIN THE BATTLE. GIVE TO BEAT RARE CANCERS.
After years of begging my friend Kelly, I officially get to ride for Cycle for Survival with an incredible team of women known as the Spinderellas. Cycle For Survival is a team-based cycling fundraiser benefiting rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. On Saturday, February 9th, the six of us will take turns riding with the confidence that your support and donations will lead to the research, clinical trials, and treatments that save lives.
Last year the Spinderellas raised over $100,000 with 100% of every dollar going directly to research efforts. Although I am incredibly competitive and want to help my team beat this goal, I also am riding for my close family members and friends whose lives have been afftected by a cancer diagnosis. While some of them choose to tell their story and fight loud and proud, others are more private and prefer to keep their cancer a secret. As I ride for Cycle for Survival, not only am I giving these people a voice, but I know that my love and support truly is making a difference.
Any amount you can donate helps to inspire others and raise money for life saving discoveries!
Why this matters to me:
50% of People with Cancer Have a Rare Cancer
When combined, about half of all patients fighting cancer are fighting a rare cancer. These are cancers we know — such as leukemia, lymphoma, thyroid, ovarian, brain, pancreatic, and all pediatric cancers — yet research is largely underfunded.
100% Goes to Lifesaving Research Led by MSK
Every dollar you give will advance innovative studies and clinical trials led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Discoveries made by MSK revolutionize how cancer is diagnosed and treated, helping patients across the country and around the world.
6 Months for Fast Impact
Not only does every dollar go to research, your gift will be in the hands of doctors and researchers within six months of the events. As a donor, you will learn about the projects supported and the breakthroughs made.
Thank you so much for your support!
