JOIN THE BATTLE. GIVE TO BEAT RARE CANCERS.
In March 2013, my mom surprised me and came to NYC to see me at Cycle for Survival. It was the first event she had been to - we rode next to each other, danced, sang and of course did a lot of pom pom shaking. As we sat on our bikes and listened to the doctor from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center talk about the limited treatment options available for rare cancer patients, I never imagined that my mom would one day be one of those patients.
In April 2015, my mom was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a very rare and aggressive form of brain cancer for which there is currently no cure. After battling the disease for a little over 2 years with an inspiring amount of dignity and grace, she passed away on July 28, 2017.
We are committed to helping fund research so doctors can find new and better treatment options for patients. We hope that our efforts will give patients not only a few more months, or years with their families but a lifetime of health and happiness together.
Please join us in this fight by making a donation to our ride - 100% of your donation will go toward research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
