JOIN THE BATTLE. It's personal to me.

The reality is that we all know someone that has been affected by cancer...whether you are a friend, family member, caretaker, colleague of one of these incredibly brave souls - we have all felt that aching feeling - what can I do to help? THIS IS THAT THING.

Why I ride? It’s personal for me.

Mario R. Paul - I ride for my Dad who fought a long and courageous battle with cancer; he wore an unforgettable smile on his face despite the pain - I honor that smile and his memory by grinding out an hour on the bike. It’s hard to believe its almost been 10 years without him. We lost my Dad in May of 2010.

Erin Marcotte - my fearless BFF who after a tough fight, kicked cancer's butt and I'm grateful to say is in remission and is THE BEST mama to two beautiful boys.

Mary McQuillen - my fierce aunt who had a hell of a year in 2018 but is on the other side and is in remission. Her strength, positive outlook and drive to change the world continues to inspire me and so many others. She is a badass and I’m so grateful she is my aunt.

Todd Hartman - Dan's uncle, a true warrior. Like my Dad, Todd also wore a brave smile through his long and relentless battle with cancer. We lost Todd in December of 2018. While I didn’t know him well, I can see and feel the impact he had on his siblings, his nieces & nephews and his children. I will ride with a smile in Todd’s honor and memory.

Will you help me make a difference by donating?

Your gift can give people with rare cancers a better future through new and improved treatments. Since 2007, Cycle for Survival supporters have provided resources to hundreds of doctors and scientists to pursue bold ideas that have led to the FDA approval of new drugs, lifesaving clinical trials, and four state-of-the-art DNA sequencers that are aiding in key cancer discoveries.

50% of People with Cancer Have a Rare Cancer
Did you know that, when combined, about half of all patients fighting cancer are fighting a rare cancer? These are cancers you’ve likely heard of — such as leukemia, lymphoma, thyroid, ovarian, brain, pancreatic, and all pediatric cancers.

100% of Your Donation Supports Research
Every dollar you give funds innovative studies and clinical trials led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Discoveries made by MSK revolutionize how cancer is diagnosed and treated, helping patients everywhere.

6 Months for Fast Impact
Rare cancer research is underfunded, and too often people don’t have proven treatments. Time matters. Your gift will be in the hands of researchers six months after fundraising ends and, as a donor, you will learn about the projects supported.

Thank you!
