Fundraising Goal
Donor List

Dear Family and Friends,

As most of you know I have dedictaed a lot of time fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in memory of my sister, but my latest endeavour is to raise money for Memorial Sloan Kettering through their Cycle for Survival program. On March 2nd, I am honored to be joining the Gold Ribbon Riders at Equinox in Woodbury to show our support for a very little WARRIOR PRINCESS named Sawyer Weiss. Sawyer is my friends daughter and the sister of one of my daughers friends from school. Sawyer was only 10 months old when she was diagnosed in April, with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma that had spread to 85% of her tiny body. Over the next 9 months, Sawyer endured: 8 rounds of chemotherapy, 11 blood transfusions, a 9 hour surgery, and a stem cell collection.

Thanks to the amazing oncologists, surgeons and researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Sawyer has kicked cancers ASS and has just received her second set of clear cancer scans. Unfortunately, she will need to continue undergoing cancer scans every 3 months for the next 5 years. Had Sawyer been diagnosed 10 years earlier, the outcome would have been terribly different.

The advancements in cancer research are truly astounding and saving more and more lives everyday. But, and this is a BIG but, none of these treatments would have been possible without the necessary funding to support the research of treatment options.

Unfortunately, Sawyer is not the only one who has been fighting for her life, which is why this matters so much to me. Did you know...

50% of People with Cancer Have a Rare Cancer

When combined, about half of all patients fighting cancer are fighting a rare cancer. These are cancers we know — such as leukemia, lymphoma, thyroid, ovarian, brain, pancreatic, and all pediatric cancers — yet research is largely underfunded.

100% Goes to Lifesaving Research Led by MSK

Every dollar you give will advance innovative studies and clinical trials led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Discoveries made by MSK revolutionize how cancer is diagnosed and treated, helping patients across the country and around the world.

6 Months for Fast Impact

Not only does every dollar go to research, your gift will be in the hands of doctors and researchers within six months of the events. As a donor, you will learn about the projects supported and the breakthroughs made.

Please join me in supporting the Gold Ribbon Riders. No donation is too BIG or too small.  Every dollar helps in increasing survival rates and saving lives; together we can make a difference. Thank you for your anticipated support!

Love, Dara
