JOIN THE BATTLE. GIVE TO BEAT RARE CANCERS.

As difficult as it is for me to ask for your help, I hope that if able, you can join me in fighting cancer.  I will be riding with a team at the gym where I go to raise money to help in research that goes to helping solve the issues in rare cancer forms.  Note that all the money, yes all, goes to this and does so within six months of the event.

As to why I am doing this, well, the last year of so has brought this home to me.  I lost my sister Ave Maria to this terrible disease and also found out that I had prostate cancer myself.  The good news is that I have been treated and am told it is either gone or in remission.  In addition, the treatment was not invasive at all.  That is certainly good news and would not have been the case just a few years ago.  So, the research can and does have an impact here.

So, if you are able and inclined, join in and help the fight with me.  Any help at all is greatly appreciated.  Best to all.

Why this matters to me:

50% of People with Cancer Have a Rare Cancer
When combined, about half of all patients fighting cancer are fighting a rare cancer. These are cancers we know — such as leukemia, lymphoma, thyroid, ovarian, brain, pancreatic, and all pediatric cancers — yet research is largely underfunded.

100% Goes to Lifesaving Research Led by MSK
Every dollar you give will advance innovative studies and clinical trials led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Discoveries made by MSK revolutionize how cancer is diagnosed and treated, helping patients across the country and around the world.

6 Months for Fast Impact
Not only does every dollar go to research, your gift will be in the hands of doctors and researchers within six months of the events. As a donor, you will learn about the projects supported and the breakthroughs made.

Thank you for your support!
