JOIN THE BATTLE. GIVE TO BEAT RARE CANCERS.
I'm raising money for rare cancer research. Will you join me by making a donation? Your gift will directly help people who have few, if any, treatment options. Through Cycle for Survival, progress is accelerating. We arm scientists with the resources to explore pioneering ideas, discover new therapies, and collaborate to find the next breakthrough.
Why this matters to me:
Our family has been impacted by cancer in a terrible way. Today my mother in law is fighting a rare cancer. In September she endured a 12 hour surgery which had disfigured her face, and now fighting through chemotherapy and its debilitating affects. My mother in law is the oldest age a member of her family has lived to that we we know of. She lost her father, 2 brothers and her 42 year old nephew, our cousin all to cancer! We are proud to say her sister is a cancer survivor, and believe she will be too, thank you to the great doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
A few years ago, we lost our cousin. He was 42 years old, He had a beautiful wife, amazing life and career. We looked at him like a little brother, and he was an amazing uncle and inspiration to my children.
In my early thirties, My best friend was diagnosed with cancer. I remember the fear and sadness we all felt. He has overcome this and is living an amazing life.
In my 20's I lost a friend to lung cancer. He was diagnosed on the day we got engaged. I never forget that. He was a role model, a colleague and a friend. I live around the corner from his old house. When I drive by, I am always reminded of this terrible loss.
When our cousin was diagnosed, his wife started the #GFYC foundation. We are proud to support and help raise money to help fight and eiminate this terrible disease, so no one ever gets this dreaded diagnosis again. Will you help us?
