JOIN THE BATTLE. Beat Rare Cancers.
Welcome to TEAM KBC!
A lot has changed in 2017. Ali, Melissa, Kristen, Whitney, Caryn, Katie and I raised a HUGE chunk of money in the Feb’2017 Cycle for Survival and knew we would be back. We just didn’t know in what capacity. We joked that we would fill the room in 2018, and I think we might come close. We were riding for our friend, Di, who has inflammatory breast cancer, we were riding for my mom, Susan, who is fighting uterine cancer... we all have someone who has or is battling cancer.
Our dedication TO FIGHT CANCER took on a whole new level on 3/28/17 when my sister, Katie Bishop, was diagnosed with a Stage IV glioblastoma. She has been nothing short of a warrior getting through this battle and she is in the midst of her treatment in Chicago. Now we also ride for our friend, Marissa, battling breast cancer. We want to fight and win and be done with this radically increasing fight. We want to live, love, enjoy and be healthy.
We have met survivors over the past several months who have given us more strength and more hope to fight with ALL WE'VE GOT. And all you’ve got. We could not do this, could not have done what we’ve already done and cannot do what we HAVE TO DO to raise money to fight rare cancers WITHOUT ALL OF YOU RACING WITH US.
JOIN US ON 2/10/18 TO RIDE FOR NO MORE CANCER. It's the most fun you will have on a Saturday!
Cycle for Survival is the movement to beat rare cancers.
Rare cancer research is underfunded, but we can change that. While we can’t all be doctors or researchers, we can raise the money that makes their lifesaving work possible. Cycle for Survival supporters have funded over one hundred clinical trials and studies, leading to new discoveries that are helping patients today.
But there is still more work to be done. AND WE HAVE BIKES TO RIDE AND WE WILL SING AT THE TOP OF OUR LUNGS TO FIGHT ALONG SIDE KATIE AND ALL THE SURVIVORS! And we will honor those who have lost their battles. We won’t forget you and the struggles endured.
100% of every dollar you give funds pioneering research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center within six months of the events.
About 50% of all people diagnosed with cancer are battling a rare cancer. Too many people are touched by this disease, and yet many with rare cancers don’t have a proven, if any, treatment plan—that’s unacceptable.
Help us: Join our team or make a donation today. Your efforts will fight cancer and make a real impact.
Thank you in advance for your support! Together, we can bring new and better treatments to patients worldwide.
JOIN THE BATTLE. GIVE TODAY TO BEAT RARE CANCERS.
As my baby sister said perfectly, “I’M NOT DONE HERE.”
XOXOXOX, JENNIE, ALI, KATIE, MELISSA, KRISTEN, WHITNEY, CARYN....
