JOIN THE BATTLE. Beat Rare Cancers.
Many of you have had the privilege of knowing our dear friend and sister, Dana. Whether you have known Dana since she was a young girl, become newly acquainted with her, or know of her through a friend, there’s a hundred percent chance you know she is one hell of a woman.
Two summers ago Dana was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Being the strong badass fighter that she is, she went through two major surgeries, 6 months of chemotherapy and countless other appointments/procedures all in under 12 months, while still working through it all. Living in New York City, Dana was so fortunate to be treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. MSK is one of the premier and oldest cancer centers in the world, pioneering and leading research in the field. Following her first major surgery, Dana’s oncology surgeon presented her case to a large conference of oncologists to ensure the best treatment plan. Being affiliated with MSK comes with great benefits. A little less than a year after being diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, Dana received a clean scan with minimal future risk for return.
While it was a short chapter of time in our lives, the experience was overwhelming. Most people diagnosed with rare cancers aren’t able to travel thousands of miles to MSK to be treated. Dana was so fortunate. She had an amazing team of doctors, support network, and incredible friends - you all.
While 50% of people diagnosed with cancer are battling a rare cancer, rare cancers are drastically underfunded. This February, we are teaming up with Cycle for Survival, the movement to beat rare cancers. 100% of all money donated give funds pioneering research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center within six months of the events. We have a team of friends biking for 4 hours to raise funds to pioneer research and clinical trials for rare cancers. Dana was involved in two clinical trials during her time at MSK.
We hope through Cycle for Survival we can continue to further research that will support rare cancers and so many people that are diagnosed each year. Team Dana is graciously asking for your help! Any contribution you can make is worth making to support such an important cause that had such a profound impact on Dana and our family. So many of you provided endless support and care to our family last year. For that, we're forever grateful. Let’s work together to support those families that are still battling cancer.
p.s. Dana also has a team riding in New York City at the same time we'll be riding in Chicago. Feel free to check out her page. They are the Red Lip Squad.
Welcome to our team's page!
We are raising money for Cycle for Survival, the movement to beat rare cancers.
Will you help us surpass our fundraising goal?
Rare cancer research is underfunded, but we can change that. While we can’t all be doctors or researchers, we can raise the money that makes their lifesaving work possible. Cycle for Survival supporters have funded over one hundred clinical trials and studies, leading to new discoveries that are helping patients today.
But there is still more work to be done.
100% of every dollar you give funds pioneering research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center within six months of the events.
About 50% of all people diagnosed with cancer are battling a rare cancer. Too many people are touched by this disease, and yet many with rare cancers don’t have a proven, if any, treatment plan—that’s unacceptable.
Help us: Join our team or make a donation today. Your efforts will fight cancer and make a real impact.
Thank you in advance for your support! Together, we can bring new and better treatments to patients worldwide.
