JOIN THE BATTLE. Beat Rare Cancers.
Welcome to our team page, With Might and Maine.
Here, we stand tall against all rare cancers, as a Maine-ly united group who has both suffered and vanquished in the nonstop battle.
What are rare cancers? Essentially any cancer that isn't already more regularly publicized (like breast, lung, prostate, and skin). This includes brain, pancreatic, ovarian, lymphoma, leukemia, stomach, all types of pediatric cancers, and many others.
Who are we? In the end, we are all survivors, whether the primary fighter or the invaluable support system. We are all Mainers or the people that love Mainers. That means we don't mess around and put up with the meanest winters Mother Nature can think of -- so we fight cancer ferociously and we can ride a bike indoors ALL DAY LONG.
Who are we riding for? We are riding for Wesley Crowell, a loving father and husband, who we lost to pancreatic cancer in 2015. We are riding for John Flynn, a loving brother, father, and husband who beat Advanced B Cell Lymphoma and has now been cancer free for 4 years. We are riding for anyone and everyone who has had to personally experience or witness firsthand the devastation this thing can do to our loved ones.
Where is my donation going? 100% of your donated money is going to fight cancer. Period. Donations go to Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC -- one of the most renowned cancer treatment and research facilities in the world.
Do I have to donate now? No, but the longer you wait to donate, the more people will have to endure and potentially lose their lives to this terrible disease.
What does your team name stand for? It comes from an old British expression that means, "With all one's strength or power."
CANCER DOESN'T F*CK WITH MAINERS. NO SUH, AYUH!
