JOIN THE BATTLE. Beat Rare Cancers.

The Boston Text100 office will be riding in the Boston event on February 2 to remember and honor our fellow "Textie" Kelly Knab, who passed away in January 2015 after a brave battle with neuroendocrine cancer of the pancreas. She was just 28 years old.

Our mantra on the Ginger Strong team is simple: We Ride For Kelly. And we’re so proud to continue her commitment to Cycle for Survival, to finding a cure for the monstrosity we know as cancer. You can read more about Kelly’s experience on her blog here.

One of the extraordinary things we've learned about Cycle for Survival is that every single dollar goes towards rare cancer research and treatment. Those cancers classified as "rare" are actually well-known forms, including pancreatic, ovarian, cervical, brain and all pediatric cancers, but research for these diseases remains severely underfunded. There are fewer treatment options for patients with rare cancers as funding for drug development often lags behind more commercially-viable therapies.

We would be ever so grateful if you would consider a donation to support our upcoming ride and our fight for not only Kelly, but all those whom cancer has impacted.

The Boston Textie family thanks you!
