JOIN THE BATTLE. Beat Rare Cancers.

WELCOME TO OUR PAGE!

Theta Phi Alpha sorority and Zeta Beta Tau fraternity at Ramapo College of New Jersey are uniting to raise funds for cancer research at MSKCC. We need your help to find a cure for colon cancer and to beat our total amount raised from last year which was just shy of $6,000!

EVENT INFORMATION:

These two Greek organizations proudly host an event that consists of members of the Ramapo College community registering a team of 10 for $50 to compete in relay race games for the winning trophy. We welcome spectators to come watch the games, learn more about Colon Cancer, enjoy delicious food, and much more!

After last year's extremely successful event which raised nearly $6,000 and had about 300 attendees, we have deicide to make it an annual event! Please consider competing in, or just attending this year's event:

DATE: Saturday, February 23rd

TIME: Doors open at 11:00am, games will begin at 12:00pm

REGISTER A TEAM: Please e-mail unite2fightcc@gmail.com to register a team or to learn more! We are looking for teams of 10, but if you cannot find 10 participants we will be happy to fill your team with members from our organizations. There is a $50 registration fee ($5 per member).

SPECTATOR FEE: $5 for adults, kids 5 and under are free

WHY THIS MATTERS TO US:

We have lost loved ones.

This event was created in memory of two fathers, Giacomo (Jack) Sallustio and Raymond Rigoli, who received treatment at MSKCC.

Jack Sallustio was the loving father of two alumnae of Theta Phi Alpha, Lea and Maria Sallustio, as well as another daughter and a son. His family has strong ties with the Ramapo College community since 3 out of his 4 children are alumni of the college. Jack took his passion and made his own company Jack Sallustio Plumbing & Heating Co., but he never let that over-power his love for his family. He lived his life to the fullest, leaving many lessons for all of us to learn from. 1958 – 2016

Raymond Rigoli was the loving father of an alumnae of Zeta Beta Tau, Tyler Rigoli, and his daughter, Nicole Rigoli, who is a freshman at Ramapo College and on the women's basketball team. Ray impacted the Ramapo College community immensely for 35+ years as a highly dedicated accounting professor. He happily helped hundreds of students find their way, but mainly enjoyed spending time with his large family. Ray's radiant smile and legacy will live on within the campus, and world, forever. 1958 - 2018

The pain this disease has not only caused patients, but loved ones as well, has been too strong for too long. It is time we put in efforts to find a cure for colon cancer!
