JOIN THE BATTLE. GIVE TO BEAT RARE CANCERS.
My warrior of a mom, Gloria Brown, was called home to the Lord on July 13, 2018 after a year and a half battle with a rare and aggressive cancer.
She was joy personified with an infectious laugh, boundless energy and a generous and kind heart. She was a friend to many and touched so many lives with her light.
She was my superhero and best friend.
Cycle for Survival is an event that I've participated in four times and is something my mom always supported. Just this past February, I had the honor of being one of the featured speakers at an event sharing the story of my beautiful and courageous mother.
Rare cancer patients make up about half of all people fighting cancer, but there are often limited or no treatment options because rare cancer research is drastically underfunded.
Cycle for Survival raised $39 million in 2018 and every single dollar is directly allocated to rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center within six months of the events.
In my mom's memory, please consider donating to this incredible cause that meant so much to the both of us. If you made a donation in my mom’s honor on the Cycle for Survival website and not on this page, please let me know so I can move the donation over to this page instead.
We sincerely thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
