LOVE & GRATITUDE FOR 10 YEARS OF SUPPORT!!
This year will be my 10TH YEAR riding and raising money for rare cancer research and clinical trial funding. 10 YEARS - officially now titled a "DECADE RIDER". It's stinks that we have to continue this battle, but we WILL until we eradicate rare cancers. I can't THANK YOU ENOUGH for the support over the past 10 years - many of you - year after year, after year x10! But the upside is we are making a difference and giving cancer patients and families OPTIONS and HOPE!!
Since it's inception in 2007, Cycle for Survival has raised over to $226 million dollars. 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center funding innovative studies and clinical trials that are accelerating progress in the fight against rare cancers.
Most of you know that I lost my mom to a rare cancer 11 years ago. This is my way of giving back and fighting for those who can't and so no other daughter, son, grandchild, wife, husband, sister, brother, mother, father, aunt or uncle has to endure the unbearable pain of losing someone they love. My mom lived for my sister and me. She would have loved every gifted moment she could have had with us and her now 7 grandchildren and two son in laws. This is personal and we will all continue to fight this horrible disease.
I am once again captaining a Boston team of fearless riders and together we will ride on Saturday, February 8th. Please consider supporting me or our team! I recognize we all support a lot of worthy causes so if you can't donate this year, I understand, but will also mention any amount is greatly appreciated and will make an impact… last year, I received an additional $10,000 donation from ICAP company because I had the highest amount of unique donors (some who only gave $5.00). Thank you for helping to make a difference in cancer patient’s lives.
With love and gratitude, Betsy
50% of People with Cancer Have a Rare Cancer
Did you know that, when combined, about half of all patients fighting cancer are fighting a rare cancer? These are cancers you’ve likely heard of — such as leukemia, lymphoma, thyroid, ovarian, brain, pancreatic, and all pediatric cancers.
100% of Your Donation Supports Research
Every dollar you give funds innovative studies and clinical trials led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Discoveries made by MSK revolutionize how cancer is diagnosed and treated, helping patients everywhere.
6 Months for Fast Impact
Rare cancer research is underfunded, and too often people don’t have proven treatments. Time matters. Your gift will be in the hands of researchers six months after fundraising ends and, as a donor, you will learn about the projects supported.
