JOIN THE BATTLE. GIVE TO BEAT RARE CANCERS.

Hi Everyone!

I am Perry Zimmerman and I am happy to report that I have survived four cancers. Because of genetic bilateral retinoblastoma, I had a brain tumor and then osteosarcoma twice, most recently in my scapula. My family has been participating in Cycle for Survival for 11 years in order to find a cure for rare cancers like the ones that have affected me and affect many others. Cycle for Survival event days are some of my favorite days of the year, and some may argue they are better than Christmas. What can beat a whole day of singing at the top of your lungs, dancing like a crazy person, and sweating on a spin bike for a great cause?

At my very first Cycle for Survival event I met Jennifer Goodman Linn, the founder of Cycle who always asked what she could do to give back to the doctors and researchers to develop a continuous stream of new options for patients.

When I was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 right after Thanksgiving, it again felt like my world was falling apart. Now, after high dose chemotherapy and 48 doses of immunotherapy I am hopeful that I am on a good path to wellness.

Getting diagnosed with cancer is obviously difficult, but Cycle for Survival provides hope that one day cancer won't even be an issue. I am so proud to be a part of such a great movement, and I hope you consider making a donation to help me and others beat cancer

-Perry Z.
