WHAT IS THE MARATHON4MIKI?

Miki is an 11-year-old sabra warrior who enjoys hip-hop dancing, singing on music.ly, and has a smile brighter than the sun. In January 2018, Miki was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma. She's been forced to fight a battle that she didn't ask for and that she certainly doesn't deserve - no child does. I know that Miki's going to kick cancer's butt. She has an incredibly special, loving, and caring family supporting her. She has a global community praying for her. She is receiving the best treatment available at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). And, last but certainly not least, she herself is a total Wonder Woman!!!

After running the NYC marathon last year and raising over $31,000 for MSKCC with Fred's Team in honor of my beloved mother, who I lost to cancer in June 2016, I was ready to retire from long distance running (after just one year of long distance running lol).  But, when I learned about Miki's diagnosis I knew that I had to run at least one more big race with Fred's Team - this time in Miki's honor and in honor of all of the children battling pediatric cancer world-wide.

Help me arm MSKCC with the tools it needs to eradicate cancer once and for all.  Please consider making a donation of any size to MSKCC through the link on this page.  All donations are appreciated and will be acknowledged.  Imagine a world without cancer.
