JOIN THE BATTLE. GIVE TO BEAT RARE CANCERS.

Feburary 19, 2016: Diagnosis- Pancreatic Cancer, Stage 4.

21 months: Chemotherapy, radiation, multiple procedures, multiple hospital stays, one week on hospice care.

On December 2, 2017, a Rare cancer took my mom away from us.

December 2, 2019 will be two years without my mom. She was the light of our lives. Our voice of reason. Our best friend.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadliest cancers with a 4% chance of survival with a stage 4 diagnosis.

We were the lucky ones...we had 19 months longer than most patients with a stage 4 pancreatic cancer diagnosis... but, pancreatic cancer won the battle and my mom became a statistic.

I am often asked why I take part in cycle for survival...it's not like it's going to bring my mom back...it's true, it's not.

But, I ride because we need better research, better treatments, and better statistics.

I ride because, just like my mom, I believe in the magic of science and medicine... and it's potentional to change the lives of families who face rare cancers with poor prognosis.

Your gift can give people with rare cancers a better future through new and improved treatments. Since 2007, Cycle for Survival supporters have provided resources to hundreds of doctors and scientists to pursue bold ideas that have led to the FDA approval of new drugs, lifesaving clinical trials, and four state-of-the-art DNA sequencers that are aiding in key cancer discoveries.

100% of the money raised through Cycle for Survival is donated to Memoral Sloan Kettering in New York -  a leading hospital in cancer research and clinical trials. Although MSK is in New York, the research is shared with hospitals and oncologist around the world. Furthermore, becuase of the money raised through Cycle for Survival, MSK can run tests on any tumor sample sent to them from any doctor, from any hospital, and they will send their reports and suggestions back to that doctor or facility, free of charge!

I ride in the memory of my mom who was my best friend, my anchor, my hero.

I ride in the memory of every worrior who has lost their life to a rare cancer.

I ride in honor of every worrior currently fighting the fight.

I ride for a day where cancer DOES NOT exist!

I would greatly appreciate your help in meeting my goal and changing the future of rare cancers treatments.

With Gratitude,

Daniella
