JOIN THE BATTLE. Beat Rare Cancers.

We are coming up on our 4th year as a Cycle for Survival team and I always like to recall our first year. The only thing we knew was that we wanted to be part of this movement and little else. The moment I formed the team was an "accidental" moment as i had first wanted to make sure i could enlist 3 others to quaify for the minimum team size of 4 people riding 1 cycle. That proved not only NOT to be problem but we moved up to 2 bikes that first year. The "accidental moment" also resulted in my having to come up with the rather unimaginative name for the team. You see I hit the registration button accidentally too soon and needed to choose a name which i was very unprepared to do. for our second year i thought of coming up with a new naame but didn't want to tinker with our surprising success. And the modest team goal initially set of $3,000 was adjusted upward more than hald a dozen times. We raised more than $20,000 our first year thanks to our team members who brought their passion to the team and our generous donors. Another thing we really didn't know anything about was the ride itself. Some of us thought we had to individually ride the entire 4 hour session... and some of wanted to do that! They were disappointed to find out that there were 4 riding segments in the 4 hour session though they were in the minority! I was also honored to be asked to ride "Jenn's Bike" honoring the woman who was at the start of this whole movement in her battle again her own rare cancer and founder of Cycle for Survival.

So we ride because "IF WE DONT"T DO IT, WHO WILL?"

50% of People with Cancer Have a Rare Cancer
When combined, about half of all patients fighting cancer are fighting a rare cancer. These are cancers we know — such as leukemia, lymphoma, thyroid, ovarian, brain, pancreatic, and all pediatric cancers — yet research is largely underfunded.

100% Goes to Lifesaving Research Led by MSK
Every dollar you give will advance innovative studies and clinical trials led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Discoveries made by MSK revolutionize how cancer is diagnosed and treated, helping patients across the country and around the world.

6 Months for Fast Impact
Not only does every dollar go to research, your gift will be in the hands of doctors and researchers within six months of the events. As a donor, you will learn about the projects supported and the breakthroughs made.

Join our team or make a donation today. Your efforts will fight cancer and make a real impact for people who have few, if any, treatment options.

Thank you in advance for your support!
