JOIN THE BATTLE. Beat Rare Cancers.
The Kristen Ann Carr Fund (KACF) honors the life of Kristen Ann Carr (1971–1993), a remarkable young woman who sought life and love. Established at Kristen’s request, the Fund provides funding for research and treatment of sarcoma (a little understood rare cancer), education for young physicians, and improvement of the quality of life for cancer patients with an emphasis on adolescents and young adults.
KACF is taking action against rare cancers by participating in Cycle for Survival--the national indoor team cycling event that raises money to fund critical research at MSKCC. On Sunday, February 12, 2017 we will be riding for the fourth time as a team at Equinox in Greenwich, CT. The KACF team is excited to join the battle to make progress and hope possible for patients and their loved ones worldwide
Here are two important facts you should know:
>>> 100% of the funds donated for our ride will go directly to the Kristen Ann Carr Fund.
>>> Since its inception, Cycle for Survival has helped fund over 100 clinical trials and research studies.
Why do we ride?
We ride to honor Kristen and all our brave family and friends touched by cancer. We ride because there aren’t enough treatment options for people with rare cancers, like sarcoma, leukemia and all pediatric cancers. We ride to promote change.
How can you help?
Please donate and support our Cycle for Survival ride. Every dollar goes directly to cancer research. Together, we can truly make an impact!
Thank you for your support!
